I believe all my students can behave appropriately in my classroom. I will not tolerate any student stopping me from teaching and/or another student from learning. I expect to be the best teacher you have had, and I expect you to be the best student I have had! | |

My grading procedures |
1. Every assignment will be entered in my gradebook. Tests will be entered two times.
2. Quizzes can be given at any time without warning.
3. Six Weeks test counts 1/4 of the six weeks grade.
4. Semester test counts 1/4 of the semester grade.
5. Homework must have a heading and lesson number on the first line.
6. I must be able to read it in order to grade it. |

1. Be in your seat with required material before the tardy bell sounds.
2. Do not act in any way that distracts from the learning environment. Follow the Tahoka Discipline Management Plan.
3. Take pride in your work. Messy or sloppy work is subject to being returned to the student to be redone.
4. Be courteous to others.
5. When the bell rings, it is a signal for me to dismiss you. You may not leave until I dismiss you. | |

2. Holes
3. The Witch of Blackbird Pond
4. A Christmas Carol
We will also study Greek mythology, poetry, and short stories. | |

English class |
This year we will once again review parts of speech. We will also prepare for the TAKS writing test, and every Thursday, we go to the computer lab to type entries for our memory books. |
