About Accelerated Reader Program
Accelerated Reader helps you focus attention on careful reading of books, which improves students' critical-thinking skills and builds the intrinsic love of reading. Three different types of assessment give you data on students' reading practice, literacy skills development, and performance on classroom assignments. You can continually match kids to appropriate books - that means you can ensure every student is challenged without being frustrated.

Students will have information about their AR points posted by their teacher in their AR folders. Also, each week on Tuesday reports an update should keep parents informed on student progress. A goal is set by their teacher to be met every 6 weeks.

If your child is making 100's on all their test, then they need to read in a different level. It is not challenging enough for that student. Students are suppose to be making some 80's to be in the right level. I know as a parent you want to see the 100's, but the books are to easy and your child is not advancing upward as they could be. Help us, Help them grows as readers!
