The 2008-2009 Texas Bluebonnet Award Reading progam has begun. These books are voted on by Elementary students in Texas. Schools all over the Lone Star state participate in this event, and Tahoka Elementary is one of them. Students in grades 4th and 5th volunteer to read 5 out of the 20 books selected from the list and then they cast a ballot voting on their favorite book. Votes are turned into the State and an winner is chosen. All students that complete the 5 books will be awarded a field trip at the end of the year. Encourage your child to participate in this reading adventure.
